Biography

Eliot Jori is a registered town planner in Zimbabwe. His experience covers environmental justice, land-use planning, regional integration, development cooperation, climate change and renewable energy. He is well exposed to policy formulation for sustainable development, integration of renewable energy in the built environment and regional development.
His aspiration is the advancement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a well-coordinated peaceful global society. His research mainly focuses on renewable energy, urban or peri-urban agriculture and climate change.
Eliot holds a Masters’s Degree in Development Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Rural and Urban Planning. He is a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners.
His fellowship work topic is to assess the European Union (EU) and Southern Africa Development Community’s (SADC) energy development pathways with special emphasis on renewable energy policies.
