Research project Improving the quality of screen exposure in early childhood: an experiment on parental beliefs Print Share on Facebook Share on X Share on LinkedIn Send by email This project has received funding via the EUI ESR call 2022, dedicated to Early Stage Researchers. This project aims to analyse the effects of providing information to parents on the quality of screen exposure in early childhood. We implements an intervention to induce positive behavioural changes in the relation between screens and children, and their caregivers. Information on the regulation of media time and recommendations on best practices during exposure will be randomly provided to parents of children between 0 and 5 years of age. Additionally, children and parental practices and beliefs regarding screen exposure are gathered through an online survey. This allows us to identify the causal effect of an information policy on parental beliefs and decisions regarding early screen exposure. This Project is jointly conducted with Elisa Failache, PhD candidate at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
