TrustIn - Trust in Regulatory Institutions

The objective of the TrustIN project is, first, to measure citizens’ trust into regulatory institutions in Germany by an online survey. Furthermore, second, the survey data will be used to explain variation of citizens’ trust into economic regulators. Trust is one of the most crucial preconditions for the functioning of our modern societies – whether it’s trust into elections, trust into the stability of currencies or trust into regulators and bureaucracies more broadly. But the factors that drive citizens’ trust are not well understood. The TrustIn project will provide new data and test new hypotheses on explaining trust into regulatory agencies.
