OneNet - One network for Europe

The OneNet project works on the seamless integration of all the actors in the electricity network across Europe for the optimization of the overall energy system and the creation of an open and fair market structure.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 957739

A new generation of grid services is in the making to enhance the power generation system. Demand response, storage and distributed generation of energy are key for creating fair, transparent and open conditions for the consumer. However, making this work requires the development of new products and services and the creation of a new IT architecture.

The EU-funded OneNet project is taking on this ambitious endeavour. It proposes innovative mechanisms of platform federation that are key technical enablers, made possible through a strong consortium that includes an impressive list of grid operators as well as key IT actors, leading research institutions and two of the most relevant grid operator associations. As part of its broader plan, the project will mobilise the international energy community via a large-scale forum.
