MIGPROSP - Prospects for International Migration Governance

The project focuses on how key players in migration governance systems understand international migration, its causes and effects and key risks and uncertainties, and how these understandings affect institutional responses.

This project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC)

This project has received funding from the European Union’s FP7 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 340430.

Prospects for International Migration Governance (MIGPROSP) is a five-year European Research Council-funded research project that analyses the drivers of migration governance. The project’s focus is on how “actors” within migration governance systems understand international migration – its causes and effects and key risks and uncertainties – and how these understandings then shape or affect institutional responses now and in the future. By knowing more about these understandings the MIGPROSP project aims to develop our insight into the drivers of migration governance.
