Interviews

  • East European Migrant Women (from Bulgaria and Hungary): The objective is to explore individual and collective life 'strategies' in decisions to migrate from Eastern to Western Europe, with a focus on women as agents, and on gender relationships, especially marriage and other bonds of affection.
  • Western women (from Italy and The NL): The objective is to understand the perception and construction of images of Eastern European Women, as well as the cultural mechanism that Western women face in their relationships to migrant women from the East.

The interviews (around 120) have been transcribed and translated and they will be published in a digital archive at the end of the project.
