The EUI Library provides a wide variety of reference materials, including both print and online resources. You can explore these resources organised by type, such as factual information, comprehensive reference materials, citation guides, editorial styles, and quotations. Additionally, the library offers resources related to research, science, and education, as well as abbreviations and acronyms.

Publishing and Open Science

The European University Institute supports an approach to scholarly communication that values the principles of Open Science, aiming at the broadest openness, reach and impact of its research. The EUI Library contributes to this mission by guiding and assisting scholars in key areas of Open Science.

Open Access publishing makes research freely available online, enabling digital reuse and increasing the visibility and impact of your work. It is a core element of Open Science. Cadmus, the EUI Research Repository, collects, preserves and provides access to academic publications and research data produced by EUI academic and professional staff. Copyright and licensing matter when publishing research. Authors can retain their rights, choose Open Access-friendly licences, and enable reuse. Online visibility strengthens scholarly identity, impact and collaboration. EUI authors can boost their visibility by using an ORCID iD, linking it to Cadmus, and engaging on academic social media.

Are you working with research data? The EUI Library is here to help navigate the suite of resources, services, tools, and training available to the EUI academic community. The EUI Library Research data guide provides support at all stages in the research data lifecycle, including data discovery and access, data management, compliance with data security and GDPR, and archiving of original datasets.

Library Research skills sessions are designed to help you manage the information you need for your research.
New Research skills sessions will be added throughout the year, so check back regularly. You can also request a session on topics not currently in the schedule.

The European Documentation Centre

The European Documentation Centre (EDC) is an integral part of the EUI Library and welcomes both EUI researchers and external users. Training to individuals and groups is available upon demand.
