Our mission 

The Library at the European University Institute supports research and academic excellence by curating a high-quality, European-focused, and interdisciplinary collection. We connect scholars with ideas across the Social Sciences and Humanities, providing reliable, high-quality resources that support the development of new knowledge and informed research. The EUI Library is an active member of national and international professional networks and consortia, including CIVICA libraries, international library associations, and specific groups. These memberships help the Library stay up to date with developments in research support, digital resources, and library services, while promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange with peer institutions.

Book donations 

Gifts or donations relevant to EUI research are assessed by Information Specialists and may be added to the collections, exchanged, or made available for distribution.  Professors or any EUI member who is leaving the EUI and wishes to donate a large book collection is asked to contact the Library in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
