OPEN: a new civic space for art and science – exhibition opening

To mark its 50th anniversary, the European University Institute inaugurates OPEN, a contemporary exhibition at the historic Palazzo Buontalenti.

Join us for three unforgettable inaugural evenings featuring an immersive sensory experience, video art installations, sound design, food, and drinks:

7 May (20:00-24:00): Preview opening exhibition opening OPEN (by invitation only)

8 May (21:00-23:00): Grand opening (open to the public)

9 May: (21:00-23:00): Grand opening (open to the public)

11 May – 12 October 2026: Regular public exhibition openings

Throughout the magical opening nights and the entire exhibition, visitors can enjoy guided tours curated by MUS.E, with welcoming and coordination support by the dedicated volunteers of the FAI Florence Delegation (Fondo Ambiente Italiano).
