EUI Library launches Scribe trial

Scribe, a digital document remediation product, is now available to all EUI members through the EUI Library.

EUI members now have access to two digital accessibility tools provided by the EUI Library:

  1. Scribe 
  2. SensusAccess

Scribe is a digital document remediation product available to all EUI members through the EUI Library, currently on trial until 31 December 2025.

Scribe offers document conversion services that support all major graphic formats. Users can download up to eight accessible document types through a simple web browser, including:

  • HTML
  • Tagged PDF
  • EPUB
  • DAISY
  • Microsoft Word DOCX
  • Braille
  • Large print

These documents are compatible with screen readers, magnification software, Braille displays, and other adaptive devices.

To access Scribe, please fill out this form to request access. Once your account is activated, Library staff will send you a link to the Scribe conversion form. With this form, you can choose a document to remediate and specify the format you would like it converted to. After the conversion is complete, the document will be available for you to view or download.
