The 2026 call for applications for the International Visegrad Fund (IVF) Research Grant Programme at the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) is open as of 9 February 2026.

Now in its sixth year, the IVF Research Grant Programme—launched by the International Visegrad Fund in partnership with the European University Institute (EUI)—supports early-stage postgraduate researchers from Central and Eastern Europe undertaking primary archival research. Grant holders will have access to the extensive holdings of the HAEU and may also benefit from the academic resources and research environment of the EUI during their stay.

The programme is open to applicants from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, as well as the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership countries. Candidates must be at an early stage of their postgraduate research, and proposed projects should relate to European integration in a broad sense.

The deadline for applications is 27 April 2026.
