Internet Service Providers as Co-Enforcers of EU Criminal Law: Perspectives from Brussels

I am requesting funding to conduct fieldwork in the framework of my PhD project. My PhD topic concerns the role of internet service providers in EU criminal law and related fundamental rights issues. It relies on a doctrinal analysis of different EU regulations on electronic evidence and illegal content which I investigate as case studies. This doctrinal analysis will be supported and complemented by extensive expert interviews. I intend to interview legal experts who have been involved in the drafting and negotiations of the relevant EU legislation.
