What Happens if the Pre-requisites are not Met?

The main pre-requisite for 365 is to have changed your password after 31 March and before 14 June 2012.

If you fail to change your password before the transition takes place, you will have to deal with the following consequences:

  • Outlook will not reconfigure itself automatically.
  • You will not be able to reconfigure any other email client or mobile device and hence will have no access to your email.
  • If you try to login to WebMail,
    • either you will be invited by Microsoft to change your password--and if you follow their link to perform the change, you will end up with 2 different passwords for your email and for the EUI network; they will not be synchronized;
    • or, if your last password change was earlier than August 2011, your username will not be recognized at all.
      You will need assistance from IT User Support to resolve either one of these situations.
      Please Note: User Support will give priority in the first days after the transition to interventions scheduled for reconfiguring the devices of users whose accounts are already in order.
