Background
Drawing on cases studies in academic research, this workshop explores the obligations of all researchers and the practical steps that we can take to ensure that our own research meets the standards required. Participants will learn about the factors to take into consideration when working with collaborators or multidisciplinary research teams, and how they can promote integrity in their own academic practice.
What you will learn
By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to: Explain the intention of the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity, Demonstrate a clear understanding of research integrity and what it means in practice, Describe what research misconduct is, Give examples of cases of poorly conducted research which help to illustrate it and List some of the practical steps that researchers can take to avoid research misconduct and help to contribute to an open, fair and transparent academic community of scholars.
