Mock Interviews

A mock interview is a job interview simulation designed to develop or test the communication skills of the interviewee and an excellent way to prepare for a real life employment interview. It allows the interviewee to gain experience in answering questions which a recruiter is likely to ask.

The Academic Service organises mock interviews for academic positions on demand. The interviews are run by faculty members and Max Weber Fellows specialised in the discipline in question.

To request a mock interview, please contact [email protected].

How to prepare for the interview:

These Guidelines for the Preparation of Academic Interviews help candidates reflect on possible questions and structure their replies.

More detailed information about academic job interviews may be found on the website of the Max Weber Programme.
