Le programme de bourse de recherche Vibeke Sørensen a été mis en place en 1993 par l’ancien président de l'Institut universitaire européen (IUE) Émile Noël avec le soutien de la Commission européenne.
Il a adopté son nom actuel en 1997 pour honorer la mémoire de la doctorante Vibeke Sørensen (1952 - 1995), ancienne chercheuse au Département d'histoire de l'IUE et membre du personnel des Archives historiques de l'Union européenne (HAEU). En tant que chercheuse, elle a achevé en 1987 sa thèse sur le gouvernement social-démocrate du Danemark et le plan Marshall, 1947-1950 sous la direction du professeur Alan S. Milward avec qui elle a ensuite collaboré au volume collectif The Frontier of National Sovereignty: History and Theory 1945-1992 (Routledge, 1994).
Objectifs
Ce programme de bourses vise à encourager la recherche sur l'histoire de l'intégration européenne en se basant sur les sources primaires conservées aux Archives historiques de l'Union européenne.
Admission
Tous.tes les étudiant.e.s de troisième cycle, non-IUE actuels, peuvent poser leur candidature pour l’attribution d’une bourse Vibeke Sørensen.
Les candidat.e.s ne peuvent bénéficier d'aucune autre subvention dans le cadre de programmes inter-universitaires pendant la même période. Les candidat.e.s ne peuvent pas recevoir une bourse Vibeke Sørensen plus d'une fois.
Les bourses Vibeke Sørensen sont assignées par le Président de l'Institut universitaire européen sur recommandation du directeur des AHUE qui évalue les demandes en fonction de la pertinence du thème de recherche proposé.
Procédures de dépôt des candidatures et délais
L'appel à candidatures est ouvert du 1er février 2024 au 30 avril 2024.
Les candidat.e.s peuvent postuler via le formulaire de candidature en ligne des AHUE. Le formulaire de candidature peut être rempli en anglais, français ou italien, qui sont les principales langues de travail de l'Institut universitaire européen.
Le dossier de candidature doit comprendre:
- Un curriculum vitae
- Une présentation approfondie du projet de recherche
- Une justification de la nécessité d’utiliser les fonds archivistiques accessibles auprès des Archives historiques de l’UE à Florence
- Une bibliographie pertinente à la recherche proposée
- Une lettre de recommandation du.de la directeur.rice de thèse du.de la candidat.e ou du.de la directeur.rice du programme de recherche pertinent
- Les dates de séjour prévues à Florence
Tous les candidat.e.s seront informé.e.s du résultat de leur demande par le directeur des AHUE.
Octrois des bourses
Un maximum de dix bourses Vibeke Sørensen peut être accordé par année.
La période de recherche à Florence est fixée à une durée d’un mois.
Les candidat.e.s sont tenu.e.s à être présent.e.s en salle de lecture au moins quatre jours par semaine pendant leur séjour.Les candidat.e.s retenu.e.s recevront une bourse de recherche de 1505 € (mille cinq cent cinq euros) payés après que la.le chercheur.e ait soumis au directeur des AHUE un court essai portant sur son projet de recherche.
Publications et engagements
Les boursier.ère.s sont tenu.e.s à remettre au directeur des AHUE une copie des publications (article, monographie) relatives aux recherches menées aux archives et à citer dans leur publication le programme de bourse de recherche Vibeke Sørensen.
