Impact of Covid-19 on the Australian Academic Job Market in the Social Sciences and Humanities

Universities are facing many difficulties in the hiring process because of the financial constraints (i.e. hiring freezes).

Moreover, even for those universities that do not have a hiring freeze, due to the international travel restrictions, it is not possible to invite overseas potential candidates to attend an interview.

• Endeavour Leadership Program:
  The Endeavour Leadership Program (ELP) is the Australian Government's two way mobility program for short and long term study, research and professional development with Australia's priority partner countries which brings together the previous Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships and Endeavour Mobility Grants.
  The Australian Government has announced there will be no further rounds of the Endeavour Leadership Program (ELP).
