Data Europa EU (the former European Data Portal) provides access to over a million public datasets from 36 countries (European Union member states, the EEA, Switzerland and countries in the EU Neighbourhood Policy programme). Data resources are indexed by the European Commission from national, regional, local and domain-specific public data providers. The interface is available in six languages. In October 2021, the Data Europa EU Academy was launched in support of data discovery, elaboration and preservation. The European Commision also maintains the Joint Research Center Data Catalogue.
An advanced search tool facilitates the discovery of public open data. Data can also be retrieved by geographical location. The portal has been developed by the European Commission, Capgemini, INTRASOFT International, Fraunhofer Fokus, con terra, Sogeti, the Open Data Institute, TimeLex and the University of Southampton.
The European Open Science Cloud Portal is an EU-funded infrastructure providing data, analytical tools and information about computation, security and storage. Data and support services are available via the EOSC catalogue.
Up to five decades of statistical observations are available, varying by country, topic and data provider.
Data Europa EU facilitates search by multiple facets: Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry & Foods; Energy; Regions & Cities; Transport; Economy & Finance; International Issues; Government & Public Sector; Justice, Legal System & Public Safety; Environment; Education, Culture & Sport; Health; Population & Society; Science & Technology.
