Funding Information - Eligibility
Eligibility
To qualify for national funding, you must meet the eligibility requirements set by the relevant national funding authority. These requirements vary by country and may relate to nationality, residence, academic qualifications and/or the date on which your degree was awarded.
Before completing your EUI application, carefully check the funding conditions, eligibility criteria and application instructions for each funding programme that may apply to you, using the country-specific pages below.
How to apply for funding
In the EUI online application form, you must select at least one and up to three funding options. You must select at least one funding authority for which you meet the eligibility criteria. Only select funding options for which you have a valid reason to believe that you are eligible and for which you wish to apply.
Candidates who select only funding authorities to which they are not eligible cannot be considered for admission.
If you are eligible for more than one funding programme, you may be considered for admission under each of the programmes you select. If admitted, you will receive funding from one programme only, based on the decision of the EUI Selection Committee. The funding awarded will be indicated in your admission offer.
There are no separate applications to be filed with the funding authority(ies), with the following exceptions: Greece and Slovenia. If you apply for funding from one of these countries, your application to the EUI can ONLY be accepted if you separately file a mandatory separate application with the authority.
