Dealing With Your 365 Mail Move

 

The upgrade for ALL @eui.eu mailboxes will occur over the weekend of 16/17 June 2012

Please Note: to prepare for this upgrade, be sure to change your password before 14 June if you have not done so since 31 March 2012. Failing to do so you will have difficulties in accessing your e-mail after the upgrade!

Below you find all the information relevant to how the ICT will be dealing with the reconfiguration of your equipment starting from 18 June 2012. Please read CAREFULLY all the sections which may apply to you:

  

 

How Your EUI (Office) Desktop PC Will Be Dealt With

Windows Users

If the pre-requisites have been met, your Outlook should reconfigure automatically so long as you follow the steps provided in the Automatic Configuration of Windows MS Outlook 2007 or Later for Use with Office 365 guide.

In rare cases, possibly due to the complexity of your Outlook profile, the above automatic reconfiguration may fail.

If this is the case, DO NOT PANIC and get in touch with your local IT User Support! While waiting for IT User Support to intervene, Windows users may access their mail via WebMail.

Mac Users

Outlook will need to be reconfigured manually: assistance will be provided by ICT via IT User Support starting from 18 June 2012 (it is advisable to schedule assistance beforehand!).

As long as the pre-requisites have been met, while waiting for IT User Support to intervene, Mac users may access their mail via WebMail.

 

How Your EUI Laptop Will Be Dealt With

Windows Users

If the pre-requisites have been met, your Outlook will reconfigure automatically so long as you follow the steps provided in the Automatic Configuration of MS Outlook 2007 or Later for Use with Office 365 guide.

In rare cases, possibly due to the complexity of your Outlook profile, the above automatic reconfiguration may fail.

If this is the case, DO NOT PANIC and get in touch with your local IT User Support! While waiting for IT User Support to intervene, Windows users may access their mail via WebMail.

Please note that IT User Support will give priority to EUI desktops and will schedule interventions on EUI laptops starting from 18 June 2012 in the afternoon!

Mac Users

Outlook will need to be reconfigured manually: assistance will be provided by ICT via IT User Support starting from 18 June 2012 (it is advisable to schedule assistance beforehand!).

As long as the pre-requisites have been met, while waiting for IT User Support to intervene, Mac users may access their mail via WebMail.

Please note that IT User Support will give priority to EUI desktops and will schedule interventions on EUI laptops starting from 18 June 2012 in the afternoon!

 

How Your EUI BlackBerry Will Be Dealt With

The main (typically personal) mail account (in BES mode) can only be reconfigured by the ICT: reconfiguration will be provided via TelSupport technicians on appointment full time during the days 18/19 June 2012 and in the mornings only during the days 20/21/22 June 2012.

IMPORTANT: you are required to schedule assistance via TelSupport beforehand!

 

How Your EUI iPad Will Be Dealt With

As long as the pre-requisites have been met, reconfiguring your iPad is done manually by following the steps provided in the Configuring iPad for Use with 365 in Exchange Mode guide.

In case assistance is needed, you can get in touch with your local IT User Support. While waiting for IT User Support to intervene, you may access your mail via WebMail.

Please note that IT Support will give priority to EUI desktops and will schedule interventions on EUI iPads starting from 18 June 2012 in the afternoon!

 

How Your Personally Owned Device Will Be Dealt With

As long as the pre-requisites have been met, reconfiguring your personal devices can be done by following the steps provided in the guides below:

In case assistance is needed, you can get in touch with Portable Device Support whose schedule will be extended to full time on 18/19 June 2012. While waiting for Portable Device Support to intervene, you may access your mail via WebMail.

 

I Cannot Wait for Support / I Want To Configure Everything Myself

As long as the pre-requisites have been met, reconfiguring your equipment on your own can be done by following the steps provided in the guides below:
