Computer Rooms, Coomons and Public Access PCs

Computer Rooms and Commons are intended for Researchers and are equipped with Windows-based desktop PCs loaded with a set of office automation software as well as a suite of research-oriented software.

Some Computer Rooms and Commons are equipped with LAN network sockets for use with personally-owned laptops: please remember to bring your own network cable (can be purchased at the EUI Shop ). Most areas are covered by wireless network as well.

Use of Computer Rooms and Commons is on a first-come, first-served basis. Desks/PCs unoccupied for more than 15 minutes become available even if belongings remain in the room.

Guests to the EUI can use any Public Access PC (valid EUI Guest account needed) like the InfoPoints, JackPCs and Totems scattered around the campus. All these machines are Windows-based terminals which are limited to internet browsing only (in the Library area, some Public Access PCs allow for browsing of the Library Catalogue as well).

Please Note: the below information is based mainly on Computer Room PC configuration.
