Standard Software Installed on EUI PCs
Two standard, Windows-based Software Configurations (Research and Staff) are constanlty and centrally (remotely) kept up-to-date throughout the year by ICT Service.
Furthermore, Computer Rooms are fully wiped and re-installed at least twice a year, with the newest configurations made available around summer and winter break.
All the PCs in the public computer rooms include both the basic application packages (Base Software) and a standard Research Software suite.
Desktop office PCs configured with the Staff Configuration all contain a basic software only. Research Software can be made available on request: this may have a cost depending on the status of the staff (i.e. project members).
Please Note: Mac computers for staff have a basic software configuration similar to the stadard Windows-based one but are updated manually by ICT Service upon specific request.
