Storage Disposal Policy

As an implementation of the EUI Data Protection Policy, any IT equipment containing data will be phisically destroyed before disposal or wiped or reset to factory settings before re-allocation, redemption or donation.

Please Note: any of the following processes is irreversible!

Destroying

The device is phisically destroyed by means of drilling multiple holes through the equipment.

Tipically applied to external or internal hard disks, USB pendrives, etc.

Wiping

All data is erased using US Department of Defense DoD 5220.22-M data sanitisation standard by means of a dedicated hardware tool, to which the stroage device gets connected to, or via software.

Tipically applied to external or internal hard disks, USB pendrives, etc.

Resetting

If applicable, devices are reset (restored) to factory settings by means of built-in functionality, with the option to not keep the data therein.

Tipically applied to (still functioning) Android, iOS (iPad, iPhone) and Windows 10 (including Mobile) devices.
